After many years spent making & teaching ceramics I established a new studio at Creek Creative in Faversham in 2010.
My work is inspired by my love of nature and the flora & fauna of the North Kent marshes where I live.
I like to use the structures & textures found in natural forms juxtaposed with textures from found objects to produce an unusual but affordable range of work which is both decorative & functional.
I use fine porcelain clay which reflects the delicacy of the textures and soft underglaze colours to enhance the decoration. I mostly rely on soft oxide washes, underglaze colours and coloured clays to enhance shape, texture and form.
Recently I have started working on a new collection of Grey & Black vases using coloured stoneware clays.
